At the heart of the park, bark hello to the sea lions, meet their devoted keepers, and take time to smell the roses. The sea lion feed is a visitor favorite, showcasing the acrobatic talents of April, Clarisse, and Scooter.
Two family-friendly short films, Planet Earth: Ice Worlds from BBC Earth and Dora & Diego’s 4-D Adventure, rotate in our 4-D theater. In Ice Worlds, you’ll explore the mysterious frozen worlds of the Arctic and Antarctic. In Dora & Diego, you’ll join these adventurous amigos in a high-speed chase to protect the animals of the rainforest.
The Central Park Zoo will open an hour early (9:00 a.m.) on Sundays in February to provide photographers with a unique, up-close opportunity to document animals from around the world.
